In 2024, what started as a personal passion bloomed into something bigger than I could have imagined. I’ve been a plant collector for nearly a decade, always on the hunt for the next beautiful leaf to bring home. Over the years, my collection grew — and so did my curiosity.
About five years ago, I began experimenting with different soil blends and propagation techniques, determined to create the perfect environment for my plants to thrive. I tested, adjusted, and retested until each mix gave me the results I wanted: strong roots, lush growth, and happier plants. It was a labor of love, and every handful of mix felt like a step closer to my dream.
Then, life took an unexpected turn. After 15 years with the same company, I was suddenly let go due to restructuring. It was a jarring moment — but it also became the push I needed to follow my heart. I decided to take my years of collecting, growing, and experimenting, and share my perfected blends and healthy plants with other plant parents who want the same thing I do: healthy, thriving houseplants.
Today, I run Happy Houseplant Haven LLC from home, pouring the same care into every bag of mix and propagation that I do into my own collection. My dream is to grow this little business into something that reaches plant lovers everywhere — creating a community where we can all share in the joy, the learning, and the little victories of plant care.
