The Alocasia ‘Low Rider’ is a compact, eye-catching variety of the classic Alocasia ‘Portora’ — loved for its bold tropical leaves and manageable size. Its frilly  foliage sits lower to the ground, giving it a dramatic yet balanced presence that works beautifully indoors or on a shaded patio.

Native to tropical Asia, this Alocasia thrives in warm, humid environments and makes an excellent statement plant for collectors who love lush, architectural greenery without the towering height of larger varieties.

Care & Growing Conditions:

• Light: Bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight. Avoid harsh direct sun.

• Water: Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy; allow the to dry 3/4 between waterings.

• Soil: Rich, well-draining mix with good aeration. Grown in Happy Houseplant Haven's Chunky Aroid Mix

• Humidity: Prefers 60%+ humidity; mist regularly or use a humidifier indoors.

• Temperature: 65–85°F (USDA Zones 9–11).
