Gritty, fast-draining soil for plants that like to dry out.

Chunky Cactus & Succulent Mix is a peat-based mix with loads of aeration, so dry-loving plants don't stay moist after drinking what they need. Pumice, lava rock, chunky perlite, sand and grit let extra water drain out quickly, while enhanced peat holds just enough moisture for new roots.

Best for

• Aloe
• Haworthia
• Jade
• Other succulents and cacti

Haven's pick: I love this mix for jade and aloe.

Why plant parents love it

• Fast drainage. Water moves through quickly so roots aren't left sitting wet.
• Gritty and airy. Pumice, lava rock, perlite, sand and grit give roots air and structure.
• Made for rot-sensitive plants. Helps lower the risk of root rot that heavy soil can cause.
• Long-lasting. Volcanic rock and biochar keep the mix from breaking down or compacting.
• Mycorrhizae added. Beneficial fungi that partner with roots to support healthy root growth.
• Ready to use. No rinsing or mixing. Open the bag and repot.

Ingredients

Enhanced peat moss, chunky perlite, pumice, biochar, lava rock, zeolite, sand, grit and mycorrhizae fungi.

Grit is the fine mineral pieces of our perlite, pumice, lava rock, LECA, maifan stone and calcined clay.

Enhanced peat moss is peat pre-blended with dolomite lime to balance its natural acidity, calcium silicate, and a wetting agent so it soaks up water easily, even after drying out.

Which mix is right for your plant?
